Consultation

1 hour Strategy and Q&A session with Amy
Are you navigating questions about introducing a Therapy Dog into your school, but unsure where to begin?
Many school leaders are approached by staff, parents, or wellbeing teams about therapy dogs, yet quickly realise there are important considerations around safety, governance, cost, and animal welfare.
Responding to staff or parent requests
Weighing up risks, compliance, and duty of care obligations
Unsure about governance or department requirements
Concerned about cost, sustainability, or long-term commitment
Trying to determine whether your school is genuinely ready for a program
This one-hour consultancy session provides direct access to specialist, evidence-informed guidance tailored to your school's context.
During the session we can explore:
Safe and ethical implementation pathways
Risk mitigation and governance considerations
Budget planning and realistic cost expectations
Animal welfare responsibilities
Practical considerations for leadership teams
Many schools assume they must immediately commit $7000+ to engage in a 'complete package', in reality, responsible implementation begins with clarity, planning, and informed leadership decisions. Each school needs to carefully consider their unique context, the needs of their school and the best interest of the animal.
This session provides a space to ask questions, discuss concerns, and explore whether a therapy dog program is appropriate for your school, before making any major commitments.
You are welcome to include additional members of your leadership or wellbeing team in the session.
If you are considering a therapy dog program in your school, this conversation will help ensure your next steps are thoughtful, strategic, and evidence-informed.
