As a registered Psychologist, Teacher and qualified Dog Trainer (Cert IV Animal Behaviour and Training), I have extensive experience working with animals of many years and have a background in wildlife caring and veterinary nursing.
I am a professionally trained and experienced Animal Assisted Therapist and Educator, and am a course facilitator of Australia's leading Animal Assisted Therapy Clinical and Community Courses.
Having worked alongside my therapy dogs for over 9 years within school environments, I have discovered what works and what doesn't, and developed a thorough understanding of both national and international research, industry best-practice and guidelines.
In acknowledgement of my experience and expertise I have been invited to present at national conferences, approached by education bodies for professional consultancy and delivered training to many schools throughout Australia.

Amy has a wealth of knowledge and has really helped me prepare for proposing a school dog program at my school.
I am grateful for her guidance and expertise and feel like we are on the right path. Thank you Amy!

We were planning to purchase a wellbeing dog for our school and I am so glad I enrolled in Amy's workshop. We have a much better understanding now of how we can support student safety, animal welfare and follow industry guidelines. Highly recommended.
